How to measure your baby!
Measure with a diaper that will mostly be used with the wool you’re getting. For example, I use a bigger wool cover for nighttime than I do for daytime because I need more absorbency for her at nighttime so her diapers are bumblebee butt size. Please use your best judgement when choosing sizes. All babies come in various chunky/slim sizes so for best fit measure accordingly.
To measure the waist: Lay baby with a soft tape measure around baby’s waist just above the diaper on his/her bare skin.
To measure the hips: Measure the widest part of the baby with a diaper on.
To measure the rise: measure from the back of the diaper all the way between the baby’s legs up to the top of the diaper in the front. Add 1.5-2 inches to the rise.
To measure the inseam: Measure the bottom of the diaper, down the leg, all the way to where you want the pants or shorts to go to.
Why Wool?
Our Organic Merino Wool interlock is extremely soft, breathable and antibacterial. They keep babies cool if it's hot and keep them warm if it's cold. They can absorb a third of their body weight making them very useful for heavy wetters like our youngest! How do they work? They wick away moisture through the lanolizing process. Lanolin is a natural oil produced by sheep. It keeps the urine from leaking back out of the wool quickly. The wool will need to be lanolized every 2-3 weeks to stay absorbent. Plus our woolies are machine washable! Cold water and delicate cycle.
Do you want a particular color in a timely fashion? You’ve come to the right place! We have over 100 colors to choose from to make your baby his/her very own custom!
Our wool is certified lead free by Microbac labs. It is made with an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified wool blend yarn. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a globally uniform testing and certification system for all stages of textile production. This certification ensures that products are free from harmful substances. There is no finer certification than the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Our Organic Merino Interlock is also CPSC compliant and all woolies and accessories are made by me.
