BrickTech Robotics/PE For Teens (Ages 12-15)

This innovative program combines the creativity and problem-solving of LEGO Robotics with the energy and teamwork of Physical Education. Students explore STEM concepts through building and programming LEGO robots (using kits such as LEGO® Education SPIKE™, WeDo™, or Mindstorms®), while also participating in physical activities that reinforce robotics concepts, promote collaboration, and keep students active.

Each session blends:

• Hands-on Robotics Challenges – Students work in teams to design, build, and code robots to complete missions, solve real-world problems, or compete in friendly challenges.
• Active PE Activities – Through games and movement-based tasks, students simulate robotic behaviors, practice coding logic with physical movement, and engage in team-building exercises.
• STEAM and Physical Literacy – Lessons are designed to build not only science and technology skills but also gross motor skills, spatial awareness, and healthy habits.

Goals:

• Foster creativity, engineering, and coding skills through LEGO Robotics.
• Promote teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.
• Encourage movement and kinesthetic learning to deepen robotics concepts.
• Help students make connections between physical movement and programming logic (e.g., sequencing, loops, sensors).

Grade Level: Typically for students in Grades 3–10th, but can be adapted for younger or older learners.
